What a GREAT show. This was a two day dressage show managed and
organized by The Good Horseman Foundation. Ann Genovese was the show
manager. The show was very organized and ran very smooth.
There were over 50 horses at the show. There were two rings in use
both days.
There were many competitors that had a great weekend. Some of the
show results are listed below:

was given to the highest-scoring horse age 4 years or older in the show.
Scores were taken from First through Fourth Level; Prix St. Georges,
Intermediate 1 and 2 and Grand Prix performances. The name and breed of
horse, rider and owner and will be engraved on a name plate on the
handsome silver GHF Cup which will be displayed at each show.

Show’s High Score and Reserve High Score
ribbons were given to the
riders achieving the first and second highest scores in the show in the
following divisions: FEI (PSG, Int. I and 2 and GP scores only); Adult
Amateur (AA classes only); Junior/Young Rider (includes FEI Jr. and YR
tests.), Freestyle and Open (Training through Grand Prix tests only, does
not include Intro or FEI Young Horse tests). There must be at least two
entries in any division to qualify for high-score awards. Scores below 60%
will not be eligible. If same person receives the top two or more scores,
the reserve score will go to the next highest-scoring horse/rider
combination.

The Good Horseman Adult Amateur “Good Rider” Award:
A dress sheet (cooler) was
awarded to riders receiving an 8 for rider (in the Collective Marks) at any
Good Horseman show in an Adult Amateur class. The award is sponsored by
Prospect Hill Farm,
Alpharetta, GA.
Riders will be eligible to receive only one cooler per year.

Dover Adult Amateur Medal:
Second Level Test 3 Adult
Amateur on
Saturday has been
designated the USDF/Dover Saddlery Adult Amateur Medal Class. The winner
received a custom-designed pewter medal and neck ribbon. Also a list of all
winners nationwide will be published in the USDF Connection. To be eligible
for this award the rider must be a USDF Group, IMO or Participating Member,
must be a USEF Adult Amateur in good standing, and must receive a score of
58% or higher. If the winner is not a USDF member, the next-highest-scoring
USDF GMO, PM or IMO member will receive the Medal.

Through Connection Pony Awards for Excellence in Dressage Ridden by a Junior
and Ridden by an Adult Amateur: A
special neck sash was given at the show to the high-scoring ponies/pony
breeds with scores used from both days. Entries are eligible if they belong
to any pony breed or pony registry or if they measure 149cm or less when
wearing shoes. Entries not meeting the breed or registry criteria may be
measured by the show manager. Breed papers should be with entry form.

Trakehner Award:
The American Trakehner Association gives a special ribbon to the
high-scoring registered Trakehner horse in the show , competing at Training
Level through Grand Prix. A copy of the horse’s registration papers should
be with entry form. Laura Wharton of Lancaster Oaks Farm, Woodstock, GA, is
the show’s ATA coordinator.

AWS Award: The
American Warmblood Society presents Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals for the
top three dressage scores from qualifying AWS-registered horses, regardless
of levels. Qualifying AWS participants must be current AWS members and be
current in the AWS Horse Awards Program. A copy of the horse’s registration
papers should be with the entry form. The show’s AWS representative is
Sharon Enderlein of Brookstone Farms, Brooks, GA.
